Foxton Beach - Horowhenua

If you're looking for 5 star accomodation then you've probably come to the wrong blog, and you'd certainly not be enjoying the homely vibe of this classic kiwi bach.

Located just 5 mins from the estuary at the bottom of the street, this bach is perfectly setup to enjoy a few nights in Foxton Beach and enjoy all the dog walks we discovered here. It's a typical kiwi bach, put together with a bit of number 8 wire and some rough materials all adds to the charm. It feels like those holidays you took as a kid, where everything looked like it did in the 80's (im showing my age now!).

Setup with multiple bed options you could actually sleep an army in here if you had to, but as it was just me, I enjoyed the master bedroom which had a very comfy bed and a ranchslider to give access to the outside and a chance to let some fresh air in. The bach is fully fenced with ample garden space for the times you're not out enjoying the scenery.

The bach doesn't feature a TV so you're back to basics here, and will have to make your own fun. There are a ton of books on offer and board games available too if you're not worried about getting too competitive with your holiday companions. As it was purely a place for us to rest for the night, we certainly didn't miss the luxuries. The couches were super comfy and after walking most of the day, it was great to be able to relax into something squishy.

If you're looking to unwind, enjoy some time away with your four legged friend and get to explore some of the best walks Foxton Beach can offer, then check in to this bach and get back to basics!
