Tudor Motor Lodge - Hamilton CBD

Looking for accommodation at the last minute for a overnight stay on Boxing Day with a dog in tow isn't easy. Most of the usual places I would look at on AirBNB etc had been booked up for months so when I started looking at alternatives I stumbled across Tudor Motor Lodge that has two pet friendly suites.

Managing to book one at the last minute online was easy and they've positioned the two pet friendly suites on the bottom floor and next to a small patch of lawn which makes for an easy toilet option for the late evening. It's by no means a fancy hotel, it markets itself as budget accommodation and it could have been a bit cleaner, but for George and I, it had a comfortable bed, air conditioning and a kitchenette so I could store his breakfast in the fridge overnight so was just what we needed for a short stay.

It was reasonably priced considering it was the holidays, but you do pay an extra $20 cleaning fee for the pet suites. If you're looking to stay somewhere for a few days or so, then id probably suggest an AirBNB setup is probably better as the noise from other guests had George on alert a few times and we had a run in with the other dog who was staying next door (George was being a little toe rag, while this other dog just wanted to say hello, George is getting grumpy in his old age!).
